Ontario Seniors Make a Horror Movie! | Silver Screamers with Sean Cisterna
/What happens when a group of Canadian senior citizens decides to make a horror movie about a killer rug?
In this episode of The Canadian Gothic, we are joined by Canadian filmmaker Sean Cisterna to discuss both the short film The Rug (which was shot, produced and starring a group of Ontario seniors) and the documentary Silver Screamers, which follows the group as they step outside their comfort zones to create the horror film.
Sean shares how he recruited a group of first-time filmmakers, convinced them to embrace the horror genre, and captured their experience in a documentary that has since earned international attention on the film festival circuit.
