Where are Lilly and Jack Sullivan (Nova Scotian Children Missing Since May 2, 2025)

Their home bordered dense forest, steep terrain, and mystery. In UFOs Above Canada, we are joined by Canadian UFO researcher Chris Rutkowski for a wide-ranging conversation about UFO news, history, and eye witness reports.

In this episode we break down two major Canadian UFO news stories, including the announcement of an upcoming auction featuring a sizable and historically significant UFO document collection, and a strange August UFO event that was witnessed by people across large parts of eastern Canada.

We also turn our attention to several listener-contributed UFO sightings from across the country. From puzzling lights to a bizarre burnt circle in the grass, Chris offers his expert insight while we explore what might be behind these reports and why they continue to capture the public imagination.

the Hockey Canada Scandal (the 2018 Canadian World Junior Team)

In June 2018, following a Hockey Canada gala in London, Ontario, a young woman alleged she was sexually assaulted by members of Canada’s gold medal winning World Junior hockey team. The case was investigated and closed without charges, and the public remained unaware for years.

That changed in 2022, when a civil lawsuit and quiet settlement from the sport’s regulating body Hockey Canada exposed the allegations. The fallout triggered parliamentary hearings, sponsor withdrawals, leadership resignations, and a reopened criminal investigation that culminated in a high profile trial against five of the men involved, all now NHL players.

In this episode, I’m joined by Kristi Lee, host of Canadian True Crime, to walk through the full timeline of the Hockey Canada sexual assault scandal and examine what it reveals about accountability, power, and trust in Canadian sport.

Michael Slobodian and the Brampton High School Shooting (Brampton, Ontario - 1975)

In May of 1975, a high school in Brampton, Ontario became the scene of Canada's first modern mass school shooting.

Sixteen-year-old Michael Slobodian walked into Brampton Centennial Secondary School carrying two rifles in a guitar case and, within minutes, left two people dead, thirteen wounded, and an entire generation traumatized.

In this episode of the Canadian Gothic we trace the events leading up to the attack, the moments of terror inside the school, and the survivor stories that have echoed through the decades.

This is the forgotten Canadian tragedy that unfolded long before Columbine, a chilling reminder that the roots of modern day school gun violence reach further back, and closer to home, than most realize.
