the Disappearance of Mekayla Bali (Last Seen April 12, 2016 | Yorkton, SK)

In April 2016, sixteen-year-old Mekayla Bali vanished from Yorkton after a day marked by strange movements, unsettling interactions, and a timeline that remains one of the most detailed and puzzling in any Canadian missing persons case.

Over the years, this story has continued to evolve and Mekayla’s disappearance has stayed in the public eye through surveillance video releases, reported sightings, and the relentless efforts of her family to find answers.

Now, on the 10th anniversary of her disappearance, this two-part series presents a fully re-edited and updated version of prior Canadian Gothic episodes on the case, bringing together the known timeline, the key developments, and the questions that still remain unanswered.

In part one we are joined by Mekayla’s mother, Paula Bali, who shares her perspective on the investigation, the challenges of navigating years without answers, and her ongoing fight to keep Mekayla’s story alive.

In part two we are joined by Madelayne Klein to discuss a series of significant developments in the case that had surfaced in the years after the interview with Paula Bali we featured in part one.
