the Death of Andrew Gnazdowsky (and the quest for answers and accountability)

Then 26 year old civil engineer Andrew Gnazdowsky and a co-worker were on site completing a survey of a Nova Scotia Power dam near Sheet Harbour in October of 2020.

When a technology failure disrupted their work, Andrew made the fateful decision to enter the water and collect the failed equipment.

Moments later, Andrew would briefly yell for help before ultimately disappearing below the still water.

In the year since Andrew's tragic death, the Gnazdowsky's have been steadfast in their belief that the investigation into Andrew's death has been at best flawed and at worst completely compromised… and it's not just a hunch that tells them that.

Conflicts of interest, erroneous death records, the scrubbing online records, bureaucratic flip flopping, and opportunistic politicians...

This story has all of it.

Incels are the online community, made up predominantly of men, who define their identity in the fact that they are involuntarily celibate. the Incel subculture, as regular listeners of Nighttime know, doesn't just wallow in misogynism, self pity, and entitlement in the internet’s dark corners..

Some self identifying Incels have seen their inability to get laid as justification to commit horrific acts of mass murder...

It's a twisted, dark, and very troubling community, but it's also fascinating and I think it's worth exploring.

To help guide us along the way, I invited a colleague from the world of podcasting to join me.

My exhibit was me sitting across the table from an empty chair and a microphone and a sign inviting passersby to sit down and tell me their story... and boy they did.

the Death of Riley Fairholm - 2 - Riley and Me (with Camille Larouche)

In the early morning hours of July 25, 2018 a 911 call was made in Brome Lake, Qc.

The caller, Riley Fairholm, reported a man in distress, carrying a handgun, and shouting to himself.

When the police arrived on the scene it took only 61 seconds before a responding officer shot the young man holding the gun dead. In a confusing turn, the caller was the man with the gun.

The events that led up to and followed that police interaction have received much more than 61 seconds of consideration.

the Death of Riley Fairholm - 1 - a 17 year old, a mental health crisis, a 911 call, and a police shooting

The victim's mother, Tracy Wing, has made it her mission to hold the police accountable for what she and her many supporters believe was the knee jerk, poorly planned, and unnecessary shooting death of her 17 year old son Riley Fairholm.

In this episode of Nighttime Tracy Wing will join us to share her son's story of mental illness, a 911 call, a police shooting, and her odyssey to hold the police accountable.

Candice and Onagottay - Part 2 - Lies, Betrayal, a shooting death, the Ashcrofts, and UFOs

It started with a post to the UFOs Above Canada discussion group on facebook…

“Im wondering if there are any people living in Kingston, Ontario. Since December 3, 2020 we have been taking pictures of crafts over our house. Up to 22 craft at once. I also have pics of craft with hatches open and small orbs flying out of them. We are 2 older people who were not looking for this experience, it came to us. I am not technically savvy and need a person to help us to identify, examine and file these pictures. If there is anybody in this group who can help we would really appreciate it.”

Shortly after posting, Candice and “Onagottay” appeared on Nighttime to discuss their serial encounters with unexplained aerial objects.

Now, six months later, their story has twisted and distorted into something much more disturbing. It’s a story of lies, betrayal, cultural appropriation, a shooting death in Belize, the Ashcroft family, and UFOs.

Where is Dylan Ehler? (missing from Truro, Nova Scotia Since May 6, 2020)

On May 6, 2020, three-year-old Dylan Ehler vanished while playing in his grandmother’s backyard in Truro, Nova Scotia

His grandmother claims she had briefly turned away to leash a dog, and in that fleeting moment, Dylan disappeared.

A massive search followed, but the only trace ever found were his two rubber boots—discovered caught in debris in a shallow brook not far from the property.

With little progress in finding Dylan, the case has taken on a life of its own online. Fueled by speculation and emotion, it has become a magnet for conspiracy theories, unrelenting armchair detectives, disturbing ransom hoaxes, and a cyberbullying case that ended up before the courts.

In this series, we explore all of it—from the facts of Dylan’s disappearance to the chaos that followed.

In part one we are joined by Dylan's father Jason Ehler to discuss his missing son Dylan Ehler.

the Most Controversial Garden in St. Catharines, Ontario

When scrolling through the news over my morning coffee, I found myself face to face with what can only be described as the most controversial garden in St. Catharines, Ontario.

When Christina and Matt designed their garden, they started by purchasing two large wooden coffins, placing them in their yard and filling them with soil.

As it turned out their neighbours didn't share the same taste.

A complaint to by law enforcement would begin the most interesting garden or bylaw enforcement story the town of St. Catharines Ontario has ever seen.

Tonight, in this episode of Nighttime, we are going to be joined by the homeowners, turned gothic freedom fighters, Christina and Matt... and our topic is the most controversial garden in St. Catharines Ontario.

the Unsolved Murder of Tanner Krupa

Part 1 - The Murder of Tanner Krupa (with Kim Krupa)

This story takes us to an alleyway in Surrey, BC, on an otherwise ordinary night in August 2017. By the time it was over, 19-year-old Tanner Krupa—who had only just arrived in the city for a short work trip—was dead.

Tanner had simply stepped out to grab something from a nearby convenience store, but hours later his body was found in an alley. The only known clues are grainy security images of two white vehicles fleeing the scene. Neither the vehicles nor their occupants have ever been identified.

In this episode, we hear from Tanner’s mother, Kim Krupa, as she shares the story of her son’s life, his tragic and unsolved death, and the heartbreak of a family still waiting for answers.

Elon Musk Is Responsible For Many Canadian UFO Reports (aka what is the starlink satellite constellation)

Listeners of Nighttime, consider this episode a sort of public service.

the Disapperance of Holly Clark

At the time of her disappearance, 27 year old Holly Clark was pursuing her dream to be a professional musician in Hamilton, Ontario. However suddenly, and with little warning, she seemed to find herself on the brink of crisis.

On the morning of January 10th, 2020 Holly phoned her parents in Calgary to request help returning home. During the call Holly would share the frightening, yet vague, details of a traumatic experience that led her to spending the prior night running for her life from either a real or imagined threat.

It was obvious she needed help but shortly before her father arrived, she walked out of her apartment and into the cold air and pouring rain.
